Acrylic is a type of plastic material which is formed by acrylic acid. This polymer is now used in various industries for many purposes, offering an alternative to glass to its durability and safety.

The properties of acrylic lend it to a broad range of works, with the most common one as a glass alternative. Acrylic has another name – safety glass. It can be used in greenhouses as it is very highly refractive to light and can shield the contents of from harmful UV radiations.
